Novosanis
Novosanis develops user-friendly and Novosanis game-changing medical devices improving the quality of diagnostic tests. Its products include injection appliances and in vitro diagnostic accessories suited for collection of first void urine, which enables an improved diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections and cancer.
First-void urine contains washed away mucus and higher concentrations of HPV DNA compared to midstream urine. However, collecting a sample with a standard urine cup is awkward, messy and inconvenient for the patient.
Colli-Pee(r)
The Colli-Pee device is a sample collection tool for urine-based tests for STIs and cancer biomarkers. Its unique design allows for the collection of first void urine, without the person having to interrupt the flow of their urinary stream. It also standardises the volume of urine collected, which is important for obtaining more reliable results. The Colli-Pee device is easy to use and can be sent to a laboratory by postal mail, making it an affordable alternative to current sample collection methods.
The device consists of a housing with a floater inside a tube that can be prefilled with a liquid preservative to ensure that DNA remains intact in the sample when it is sent to the laboratory. The floater is attached to the device by screwing it on and can be disconnected when ready to send the sample. The tubes can be prefilled with novosanis UCM, which is CE-IVD marked for preserving DNA in urine.
In a recent study, researchers used the Colli-Pee device in conjunction with a traditional sterile urine pot to collect samples from people at home. Participants received a package by post with four Colli-Pee devices and were asked to sample their first void of the day for a number of days. The researchers then performed molecular testing on the samples. The results showed that the devices had good to excellent agreement with the traditional method of collecting urine, with Cohen’s kappa statistic and percent agreement values of 0.77 and 0.9 respectively.
The results of this study suggest that the Colli-Pee device is able to collect urine for STI detection, including HPV and chlamydia. The device may be particularly useful for PrEP users who need to attend frequent STI screening visits. The ability to collect a sample at home and send it to the lab by postal mail could decrease the number of face-to-face clinic visits, reducing staff workload and healthcare resources. Future economic evaluations will be needed to determine whether this approach can lead to a cost-effective solution for STI diagnosis and treatment among PrEP users.
Vax-ID
VAX-ID is an award-winning patented medical device suited for standardized and accurate intradermal (ID) drug delivery in the dermal layer of the skin. It consists of a transparent reservoir with a preconfigured needle that can be used for a variety of vaccines. The short and thin needle makes VAX-ID almost invisible for the patient thereby making it more comfortable to use for people with needle phobia or who fear a needle. The device is easy to use and is applied perpendicularly to the skin Novosanis.
Vaccines are typically administered intramuscularly (IM). However, intradermal administration is known to be more comfortable for the patient and evokes an improved immune response compared with IM administration. In addition, the use of ID injections could significantly reduce the need for repeat vaccinations as the vaccine can remain in the body for a longer time allowing for better vaccine coverage.
Despite its advantages, standardization of ID injections with the Mantoux technique has been challenging. Novosanis has developed a user-friendly device, VAX-ID, that can provide a high level of accuracy and standardization of the injection with a simple to use application.
In April 2012, a feasibility study was conducted in healthy subjects between 18 and 65 years using VAX-ID for a reconstituted H. pylori vaccine. The study was performed at the University of Antwerp and Artesis University College. Participants were recruited by posters and direct mailings from the universities and health centers of the Antwerp region. Participants who had regular exposure to needle injections and pregnant women were excluded from participation.
A total of 102 participants were included in the study. They were asked to rate their experience with IM and ID injections with the VAX-ID prototype and the Mantoux technique on several statements using a 10-point Visual Analog Scale. Subjects also reported their experiences with the device one day after the injections. Overall, the usability of VAX-ID was rated as high by all vaccinators who participated in the study.
The results of the feasibility study confirmed that the VAX-ID prototype is a suitable ID injection device with an excellent penetration depth and liquid deposit as evidenced by a histological evaluation in piglets. In addition, a high level of accuracy and standardization was achieved for the injected volume Novosanis.
Postal Kit
The Postal Kit enables research and clinical testing to be performed from the comfort of an individual’s own home by leveraging postal services for distribution and return of urine samples. It comprises a reusable screw top bottle with either a pot or swab for collecting a urine sample, a form, safe packaging and a freepost envelope. Novosanis are currently running a study to understand Chlamydia prevalence across different ages and genders in Belgian participants using this one-stop sampling Novosanis solution.
DATA ROOM
A Data Room is an excellent tool for storing and sharing confidential documents, particularly when you need to conduct a due diligence process or a merger/acquisition. It allows you to share data in a secure environment, making it much easier for potential investors to review the information before they meet with you. Moreover, you can control who has access to the information, minimizing the risk of leakage. In addition, a Data Room is easily accessible from any location and device, which can make it even more convenient for participants to access the information Novosanis.
Using a virtual data room is easy, but it’s important to take the time to properly set up the folder structure and upload the necessary documents. It’s also important to clearly label folders and documents for easy navigation. Once the files have been uploaded, you can set granular document permissions to limit who has access to what. It’s also a good idea to test the data room Novosanis before letting others access it.
Data rooms are an invaluable tool for any business. Whether you’re raising capital or preparing for an M&A, they help you demonstrate your company’s value to potential investors and partners. They are also useful for collaborating with colleagues or conducting board meetings. In fact, it’s no surprise that modern startups are increasingly relying on data rooms to raise money and make deals.
When sharing data with investors, it’s important Novosanis to present the most accurate data possible. Don’t cherry-pick metrics or leave out important statistics like retention or engagement numbers. Providing complete information can increase your chances of landing the deal you’re hoping for Novosanis.
The best way to do this is by hosting a virtual roadshow with the help of a data room. This will allow you to give potential investors detailed information about your company before the presentation. This will give you a competitive Novosanis advantage over other companies and may help you secure a higher price. Additionally, a virtual data room will be accessible to anyone in the world, which can increase your competition among buyers. Moreover, it will save you valuable time and money by eliminating the need to print and ship documents.
